Opening Act Application
Season 2026/2027
Stichting Opus 16 Concerten is pleased to offer selected talented young musicians the opportunity to perform as opening acts during the 2026/2027 concert season.
Eligibility
Applications are open to ensembles of 2 to 3 members.
Applicants must be current students of Conservatorium van Maastricht.
Recent graduates are also welcome to apply and may be considered based on availability. Please indicate your graduation year in your application.
Ensembles who have already participated in a previous season are also welcome to apply again.
Applicants should have a 15-minute programme ready to present.
Applicants may include a link to a video (e.g. a recent performance) to support their application.
Performance Details
Selected ensembles will perform at two concerts: one in Maastricht and one in Heythuysen.
Each performance is a 15-minute opening act.
Students will receive a honorarium of €100 per person upon submission of a short written impression (5 lines) about their experience participating.
Students must prepare and introduce their programmes during concerts in English and/or Dutch.
Students are expected to help with promotion of their performance (e.g. minimum 1 posted reel on Instagram and Facebook, multiple IG stories in the week before the concert, hanging posters, and helping spread the word within the conservatory).
Mandatory Masterclass
Selected students are required to attend a free masterclass on stage presentation, given by Michelle Lynne (co-founder of The Fearless Artist Mastermind )
